A cunning malware campaign on Facebook is tricking Android users with fake TradingView ads, leading to data theft and remote control of devices.
The Frozen Trail update for Arc Raiders, recognized as the most significant since the game's debut, is set to release on October 8, 2026. Embark Studios confirmed the release date today, along with detailed new information about the update's expansive map.
In an official blog post, Embark Studios announced that the Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update will arrive in early October. The studio had earlier committed to a biannual update schedule, making this next update a much-anticipated event.
The update introduces a new icy map where players, known as Raiders, explore a frozen settlement after Shani detects a mysterious signal beyond the mountains. This setting features deserted villages, factories, research centers, an observatory, and other areas, making the Frozen Trail map considerably larger than the previous Riven Tides map.
Aleksander Grøndal, Executive Producer of Arc Raiders, emphasized the enhanced verticality in the new map design, allowing for greater exploration and engaging combat encounters. He remarked, “Designing this map has posed exciting challenges to our level design team. We aimed to craft an ambitious space filled with more vertical layers, exploration possibilities, and chances for discovery.”
Players should also prepare for new challenges as the update introduces relentless ARC enemies lurking both above and below ground. Aleksander warned that these foes range from small machines to massive ARCs that could be larger than the Queen or Matriarch, creating intense combat scenarios.
Beyond the new map and enemies, the Frozen Trail update revamps player progression with an overhauled skill tree. Additionally, the Raider den expands to include a new Outpost where players can customize their space and research strategies to better face ARC threats.
This update marks a major step forward for Arc Raiders, and Embark Studios promises more details about weapons, customization options, gadgets, cosmetics, and instruments in September. Fans eager to learn more should stay tuned.
