OnePlus' latest 5G offering has finally launched in the Indian market. Coinciding with the release of the OnePlus 9RT 5G, Chinese tech giant Buds Z2 also unveiled the next version of the OnePlus Buds Z. The OnePlus 9R will be released in 2021. With the Snapdragon 870 core, the 9RT 5G is a new release. It improves its performance from more powerful Snapdragon 888 to less fuel efficient. The same chipset was found in the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
The OnePlus 9RT 5G has key features such as a 50 megapixel dual camera system, 120 Hz AMOLED panel and 65 watt charging mechanism, competing directly with the Samsung Galaxy S21FE and others. The Samsung flagship was announced in the second week of 2022 for Rs 54,999.

The brand new Fluid for the OnePlus 9RT 5G offers an AMOLED panel and a 6.62-inch panel with a punch hole at the top left. Produces an aspect ratio of 20:9 FHD+ resolution with 1080 x 2400 pixels. This display comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a pixel density of 397 ppi. The AMOLED panel also has Gorilla Glass protection and DCI-P3 color calibration. The latest OnePlus device also gets a fingerprint scanner under the screen. Behind the scenes, the device runs on Android 12 with OxygenOS 12.
For the optical setup, the punch has a 16-megapixel sensor and a rectangular unit with a triple camera system on the back. The primary sensor here is a 50MP Sony IMX766 lens with OIS. It combines a 16-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The rear camera supports slow motion recording up to 1080p and regular video recording up to 4K 60fps. Camera apps include pro mode, super night scenes, timelapse and more.
Going deeper, the OnePlus 9RT 5G draws its power from Qualcomm's high-end SoC Snapdragon888. The top version has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This set is equipped with a large capacity 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 65W. A Warp Charge65T adapter is included in the box. Some connectivity features include 5G dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, NFC, dual GPS, USB Type-C, slider, touch vibration motor, and interactive speaker adjustment. The speaker configuration is provided by Dolby Atmos.
Price and availability
The all-new OnePlus 9RT 5G will be available in Micro Black and Silver color options. A base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option is available at £42,999, and a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at £46,999. This device will be available today from January 17 until the Great Republic Amazon sale. Prime members have early access one day before their official launch. Smartphones can be purchased from multiple channels such as OnePlus App Store, Experience Stores, MyJio, RD, Cromā and other major retailers.
The buyers who have purchased the device through the OnePlus Store app on January 16 are eligible to win another OnePlus 9RT 5G. For the credit and debit cardholders of Axis Bank and Kotak Bank along with all the EMI transactions, OnePlus is offering a flat discount of ₹4,000. There is also an exchange offer of up to ₹4,000 for the legacy OnePlus devices for the customers buying through OnePlus website and Store app. This exchange offer can be availed up to January 22.
