Embark Studios will give players their first detailed look at the Frozen Trail update for ARC Raiders on September 23, 2026. The premiere drops on the official ARC Raiders YouTube channel at 10 AM PDT (1 PM EDT / 7 PM CEST).
The studio released a short teaser on September 18 confirming the date and time. It describes Frozen Trail as ARC Raiders’ biggest update since launch. The full content drop arrives on October 8, 2026. Embark previously revealed more details about the update, including its new map and gameplay changes, in its Frozen Trail update announcement.
Official details shared earlier outline the main additions. The centerpiece is a new map described as a harsh, frozen settlement nestled beneath towering mountains at the edge of the Rust Belt. The area once held villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory that have long been abandoned. Embark has emphasized greater verticality, exploration, and threats both above and below ground.
A new ARC Operation targets experienced Raiders. It focuses on meaningful decisions, dynamic encounters, and teamwork. The studio calls it one of the most intense experiences the game has offered so far.
New ARC enemies are also coming. They range from a small, tricky problem-maker to an enormous machine designed to stop players in their tracks. These threats aim to change how Raiders move, fight, and adapt.
Progression is expanding as well. Players will gain access to a new space called the Outpost that they can decorate and use for research. The Skill Tree is being adjusted for more player agency, and Raider Decks are being improved to feel more engaging and rewarding.
Embark has also noted ongoing work on matchmaking, stability, anti-cheat, and quality-of-life improvements. The studio is also reworking other parts of the game, including Expeditions, which are scheduled to remain paused until early 2027 as Embark works on a broader overhaul. A recent live update confirmed that smaller patches will continue before the October 8 launch, but Frozen Trail marks the next major content milestone after the studio shifted to fewer, larger updates.
