Instagram has officially introduced a new Reels Watch History feature that allows users to view every Reel they’ve watched on the platform. The update is designed to make it easier to revisit previously seen videos, including recipes, memes, and creative content.
According to the announcement by Instagram head Adam Mosseri, the feature is now rolling out globally. It mirrors the functionality already offered by platforms like YouTube and TikTok, giving users access to a full list of Reels they’ve watched.
Users can access this new section by going to Profile → Menu → Your Activity → Watch history. The page displays all watched Reels in a grid format and allows filtering by date or creator for better organization.

Previously, users could only find old Reels through “Liked” posts or by downloading their entire Instagram data, both inconvenient methods. The new Watch History option removes that hassle, making Instagram more user-friendly and improving its Reels discovery experience.
The addition of Watch History is another step in Instagram’s ongoing effort to enhance Reels engagement and keep users within the app’s ecosystem.
